Grovewood Gallery's roots are in the handweaving cottage industry. We are housed in the historic Biltmore Industries complex, built during 1917-1924, which once produced some of the countries finest hand-woven cloth, worn by U.S. presidents, movie stars and sports figures.
Today, remnants from the renowned weaving industry can still be found in our old display tables, marked with yardage measurements for cutting cloth, and our shelving, which once showcased bolts of the famous Biltmore Industries homespun fabric.
We are proud to carry on the long-standing tradition of supporting talented fiber artists who are committed to quality and style.
