The North Carolina Homespun Museum presents a historical overview of Biltmore Industries and its internationally renowned wool cloth. Inside the museum, photographs depict important events from Biltmore Industries history including its origin in 1901 as a craft education program, its growth under Fred Seely, and its revitalization by Asheville businessman Harry Blomberg.
The museum showcases memorabilia such as letters, artifacts, photographs, and tailored suits made from the famous Biltmore Industries homespun fabric. Visitors can also watch a 15 minute video on the history of Biltmore Industries and occasionally observe Harold Capps demonstrating the weaving process on an antique 4-harness loom.
