Volunteers Needed to Lead History Tours at Grovewood Village
Grovewood Village is housed in the historic weaving and woodworking complex of Biltmore Industries - once the world's largest producer of handwoven wool, with ties to George and Edith Vanderbilt, Edwin Grove, and Fred Loring Seely. We are seeking volunteers to tell the story of Biltmore Industries and the important role it played in the birth of Asheville’s Arts and Crafts movement. Volunteers will be given an employee discount at Grovewood Gallery.
Volunteer to lead 1-hour history tours on the Grovewood Village campus 1 to 3 times per week. Tours will be scheduled daily at 1pm, Wednesday - Saturday (April – December), with special group tours as scheduled. To learn more, please contact General Manager Karen Babcock at 828-253-7651, ext. 100 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
