Small Heart Vessel – Cream
Description
Hannie Goldgewicht’s distinctive ceramic and pine needle basketry expresses her love of form and design with time-mastered workmanship.
The creation process begins with hand-throwing each piece on a potter’s wheel, followed by trimming, firing, and adding finishing touches through painting and patinas. The artist then weaves around the rim of the piece. The pine needles used in this process are carefully selected, cleaned, and woven together using a wax thread and the coil method. Each finished piece of art is unique, ensuring that no two items are identical.
