Hall Table

Description

This hall table, handcrafted by Robin South, is constructed from sustainably grown black limba. Its distinct feature is its design, which centers around the contrasting tones of the wood grain. The design celebrates nature’s artistry, showcasing the diverse hues and patterns inherent in the black limba wood.

About the Artist
Robin’s earliest childhood memories are filled with joyful hours spent drawing, painting, and creating things. Fueled by a passion for creativity, Robin attended the Ringling School of Art in Florida, setting him on a path of advertising art and graphic design. His journey led him to New York City after a tour of duty with the US Army, and then to Atlanta, Georgia, where he and his wife started their own advertising agency.

Following their move to Atlanta in 1986, Robin, a natural craftsman, renovated their century-old home in Grant Park. Robin began to assemble a collection of woodworking tools and started creating furniture and other items for their home. He found joy in crafting handmade gifts for loved ones, which eventually inspired the birth of Robin’s Originals.
