About Vicki Gill
Vicki has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and drawing from Louisiana State University. She honed her pottery skills at Gaston College and the renowned Penland School of Craft in North Carolina. Her forte is wheel-thrown and handbuilt white stoneware clay.
“I love creating texture, so clay is the perfect medium to impress, carve, stamp, and draw on,” says Vicki. “Inspiration from nature comes through in the images of leaves, flowers, fish and birds that I imbed in my work. Color is also important to me, so I mix my own glazes and constantly experiment to find the perfect combination of transparent, overlapping colors.”
