Description
These end tables by Tom Elman are handmade from solid walnut with maple drawer boxes and custom walnut drawer pulls. They each feature elegantly tapered legs and double-beveled tops that bring a lightness and sophistication to the beauty of the wood grain.
Artist Statement
“There’s a piece of me in everything created, and there’s a piece of that art left behind in me every time, too. I feel that every piece should be a celebration, a ritual, a prayer, a dance, or a hymn, in a way that changes you and me and makes the world better for both of us. When I build something from wood, I want the beauty of the wood to glow, to be the messenger. The design then becomes the halo, emphasizing the spirit embodied in that marvelous and beautiful material.”
